IMO, at $.99 cents Tiki Towers is one of the most underrated games on the Appstore. Building bridges and towers to get monkeys from place to place is a TON of fun. Great interface, great graphics, great stability, not much story, but if you are ever out board and need a distraction, this one is a great value.

I agree, lots of fun to be had.

I just wish the monkeys would learn to form orderly queues and take their time crossing so they wouldn't bring my painstakingly designed constructions crashing down.

Some monkeys just have no consideration for us humans who are trying to help them.

Thge Problem isnt underarted its getting the word out that the game even exists!!

This is becoming more and more a problem for smaller developers! Ill take a look at it and see what your all up in arms about!

I think that if the monkeys lined up the game would be too easy. Also, underrated isn't a good word, maybe under appreciated? Underexposed? :)

Just trying to be funny, I didn't really mean that should happen. That's half the fun of the game - anxiously waiting to see if the sticks are going to turn red. Also, pre-planned collapses can sometimes achieve what you want.

The deves need to improve their games, if any of them is underrated.
3 maybe 4 times update or renew, will creat something. Of course, there is limitation for the deves, especailly, when they need some money to carry on.:(

I don't think it's about good games of bad games in this case. In this case I think it's about good marketing and bad marketing. Rolando is a good game, it's not amazing, but it's good. However they are going to make a ton of money mainly because of marketing. This game is dirt cheap, tons of fun and I don't thinik anyone knows about it. They arn't in forums giving out promo codes, they arn't on the radar of any of the game sites etc. They need to do a better marketing job, their game is tons of fun.

not to mention that all the big devolpers (EA...) are constantly getting Apple to list them as featured on the App Store, so those apps are seen by almost everyone

Big developers getting preferential treating from Apple is a problem. However, I am very much in favor of big developers developing for the iPhone. I like Sim City, with the update I like Katamari, I like title like pac-man and pole position. All we can really do is use message boards such as this one to really get the word out about smaller shops making great games at reasonable prices, that's what I tried to do here.

Also, I have no problem with expensive games. $10, $15, I think it's great. If developers think they can make money, it will be worth it to them to actually take some time and make a great piece of software. Would most people pay $30 for a KILLER iPhone game? Well, maybe not now with all this $.99 cent BS, (with very few exceptions like Tiki Towers) but maybe someday we'll get there. I think $30 games would be great because between the app store reviews, this message board, and some other message boards, if you buy a game blind and get ripped off it's your own fault. On the plus side, if the dev thinks their game is worth $30, it just might be and that would make a seriously killer app, especially if the community agrees.
