It's the word of some unknown random person on the internet, so a huge grain of salt is needed.

But sure, it could be his home. Jobs lived in a rather modest home and Cook could have picked up on that. He doesn't strike me as one for extravagance, and the guy works so hard he's barely home anyway.

You should see Warren Buffett's house... he's not exactly living in Wayne Manor either.

There's a point you reach where you simply have enough money to maintain your lifestyle and the surplus is just extra money. If your head is screwed on straight, you don't feel the need to throw it around in order to prove who you are or to keep up with your peers.

That is partly why some people get rich and stay rich, and many professional athletes go broke.
