Dear Tim, if you're reading this, please implement this change!

I may be the only one in the world who finds himself in this annoying situation once in a while, but enough times to make me cusssssssssss at my TV and iPhone!

Scenario:

You're watching Apple TV (or playing music on iPhone/Apple TV/whatever). A call comes in. iPhone is your remote for pausing music/Apple TV. But guess what, while the phone is ringing, you CAN'T pause!! That's because you can't toggle Control Center to use the Remote app to pause whatever is playing.

Very often, I don't want the person on the other end to know that I'm playing music, watching TV, or whatever, especially when I'm supposed to do other things.

I have actually diverted calls from my mobile to a VoIP number which rings on an app (Acrobits Groundwire), with CallKit integration disabled. That way it's just a banner notification, like every other app.

I very rarely use the voice part of my phone, and incoming calls are usually nuisances.

1. Use the feedback app since you're using a beta
2. Go to www.apple.com/feedback

Posting complaints here for Tim Cook, and asking him to read it, is pointless. If you're savvy enough to use a beta, you're savvy enough to forward your concern through the appropriate channels. The point of a beta is to report any feedback you have straight to Apple, not go to a 3rd party forum and expect Tim Cook to read it.

Are you not able to modify the Notification settings for Phone to be Temporary rather than Persistent, similar to Messages or Calendar alerts?

Why not use the actual remote that comes with Apple TV? Clearly the iPhone is not the default remote for the Apple TV and you should not expect it to void its main intention of Receiving phone calls just so you have the privilege of pausing your tv shows in this great nation. . Use the damn remote that comes with the device. It’s what it’s for.

Ps: Tim doesn’t read this ********.

To be fair on the OP it would be nice if this feature was part of it. In a similar vein to when I’m driving my Satnav notifications are suppressed. Or at least have it lower the volume or something.

Granted this isn’t the place to request new features but can be nice to vent :)

1:30 I mean it was there back then :p, they just need to extend it to your AppleTV (may be trough AppleID...)

It annoys me when I’m watching something on my iMac and I get a FaceTime call come through (and my Apple Watch/iPhone, iPad, and iMac that are all on the same desk start ringing together). The thing I’m watching gets paused and it swipes automatically to the desktop screen with a FaceTime box in it, then once I answer the call, the video I been watching stops being paused and plays again, so that the opening dialogue from the caller is a bit obscured.

seriously. The "phone call screen takeover" needs to go away. It is not more important than any other notification on my phone
Actually a phone call is more important than any other notifications on a phone. When something important happens, 90% of the time you'll get a phone call. If your doctor or any specialist want to confirm an appointment they will call etc.

Yes we don’t call as much as we did 10 years ago but in my book my iPhone is still a phone and 80% of my task with it is still cellphone related (text messages, quick calls etc)

What about having the option. I do hate that whenever some random telemarketer or whoever decides to call me, the phone screen takes over the phone out of what I was doing.

And the Apple TV remote is utter ****, I prefer to use my iPhone as well.

What about having the option.
It's Apple you are talking about, Apple Users do not like option and choices ;).

"You are using it wrong™" or in this case "You want to use it wrong™"
