A strange problem - ot two.
Upgraded to Monterey on Imac 27" and Macbook pro 15" and now I can't select new discs for backup. Normally I can just move the mouse over the time machine panel to select or deselect a backup disk (screen dump enclosed).. Since it happens to two different Macs its a bit strange.

The other issue is on the Imac. If the computer needed a hard reboot (or a power crash) time machine will not accept the TM disk ("backup disk not available") eventhough is accessable on the desktop (and I have repaired it or rebooted the machine). I can format a reuse it, but since I can't select as new disk I will be in trouble soon.

Suggestions welcome...

Hi!
About your backup disks: I faced LaCie drives, some of them with a power adapter, make sure it's connected properly.

Also, click on Options (on your screenshot) and make sure that your internal disk isn't under excluded list

You may also remove them and add them again (in TM)

And just for curiosity: why do you use a hard reboot on your iMac?

Jep - The la cie might be rugged but they are rather sensitive in the connection and has caused some fall outs..
The problem is that I cant move between disc in the pref window, neither by mouse or scrolling. (My wifes iMac is the same model but not upgraded to Monterey behaves normally - I can scroll between her desks.
The hard boot has been due to some interaction between zoom/office locking the computer..

I've check everywhere, and I haven't found anything about graphical display issues while trying to recovery something from Time Machine. Not related to a Recovery Mode or Migration Assistant. Using Time Machine to select something to restore. I've include the image I get each and every time I Enter Time Machine. Has no one else ran into this graphical oddity? Noticed on my 16 GB 2TB M1 mac mini running macOS 12.1.
