Time Machine and my new Mac Pro

I just recieved my new Mac Pro, to copy over all my old settings from my iMac is it as simple as using my backup with time machine from the iMac? will this create problems with my hardware on the Mac Pro? ie the HD5870? does this copy everything over even my desktop background?
