Hello,

I'm on Catalina beta 9 on a Late 2014 iMac. My backups prior to June 2019 have all disappeared.

I tried connecting the external drive to a machine on Mojave to double check, and they are missing on there too.

Any ideas / any recommendations for recovery?

Finder shows no directories at the root level of the drive? What does getinfo on the drive say? Have you run disk utility First Aid?

How can I check for directories at root level?

getinfo seems normal - tells me it's been in use since Oct 2014

I ran First Aid last night on both the iMac and the time machine drive - both succeeded, but did not make a difference in terms of the missing folders.

I've also noticed starting with Beta 9 my iMac is locking up a few minutes after log in or otherwise kernel panicking.
