I imagine a similar issue to mine has already been posted so apologies in advance. I did search but couldn't find a solution.
I have late 2013 iMac running 10.12.3 with a factory fitted internal 256 GB SSD with an external 4 TB WD My Book, which is permanently connected.
The internal disc serves as the boot disc as well as holding applications. The external disc holds user data (i.e. my user account) and all files and media etc.
I have purchased a 6TB hard drive to serve as my Time Machine. The initial backup works fine (circa 2.8GB) however where I would expect the system to perform a small differential at the next back-up, it instead performs a full back-up suggesting that everything has changed.
Given the size of the back-up it takes some time to perform and I know only a small number of files have changed.
Is there anyway around this? I have temporarily set the back-ups to manual however I would ideally like to have time Machine set to run automatically.
Cheers
