I'm having an issue where I cannot backup to Time Machine (WD 4TB external HDD) because apparently I have 2 Disks named "Recovery" but I am not sure where to find these disks. I can't see them in Disk Utility, nor anywhere else.

Maybe someone here understands this issue, and any help will very appreciated.

(Sorry, I don't have much more information than this).

What do you see in disk utility?

Do you see the WD disk in the finder sidebar? If you see 2 disks named recovery there, do a get info in the finder to find out which one is the 4 TB WD. Then rename that disk to something like "TM Backup".

Here I go again with my "broken record" advice:
If you want a backup app that works and one upon which you can rely, try either CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper.

'Nuff said 'bout that!

No, in Disk Utility I couldn't see any partition on the drive or anywhere else that said 'Recovery', that's why I came here. It was strange. I had rebooted the iMac and the issue persisted. I rebooted one last time and the issue went away. However, I'm thinking as I type and maybe it had something to do with Parallels which I run Windows 10 in. I have no idea. If the issue returns I'll take screenshots and update this thread.

Do either of those take hourly backups? (I need hourly backups)
