Dear all,

I have been trying to connect my LG-NAS N2R1 to my MacBook Pro for Time Machine backup.

All updates have been installed. I'm running OSX 10.8.2 on a 2012 15" MacBook Pro (before the Retina version).

In the webmenu of the NAS, I have set up a folder for Time Machine and enabled this functionality.

Every time I try to connect with the NAS, the login dialogue box hangs. The only solution is to restart or force quit NetAuthAgent in Activity Monitor.

I have attached an example of the problem. Sorry for the Dutch language, I presume you understand the problem by now.

What can I do?

Best regards,
Jerome

Thank you for your reply.

If I understand this method correctly, it is meant to show volumes that are not supported by Time Machine. In the LG-NAS administrator page I enabled the Time Machine option and assigned a folder to it.

The folder already shows up, so this adjustment through the Terminal had no effect.

Does Disk Utility see the volume? I ask because in the past I had to use the 'Repair Disk" on the time Machine volume to see if that helps.

Unfortunately, I don't see the volume in Disk Utility. The only volumes apparent are the Macintosh HD and Superdrive.

Odd though, because the 'normal' NAS-volume where my files are stored, doesn't show up either.
