Hey Guys,

Do any of you have recommendations for an external back up drive? Previously I've used 3 different Lacie drives (with 1 failure) and 1 Western Digital drive.

I'm looking for something with USB C.

Thanks in advance,

B

At this point, I think the major brand drives are all about the same, and I usually just decide what size I need then buy what I can find on sale.
Thanks Weaselboy. I Suppose I think similarly. I'll keep my eyes on the sales.

there
From My Experience:
\Western Digital s solid, plug and play and has a 3 year warrantee-
OWC lowered their prices lately and is designed for MacBooks and Macs.
some Members and I had problem with Seagate and their software downloading just to read and write.

and what im doing now is using one enclosure and 4 ssd drives for 4 macs
that frees uo space and is more cost effective in the long run.

hoped this helped!

I've had both Seagate and WD. The only drive I ever had problems with was the MyBook Cloud. Worked for about 7 months. Normally I buy whatever is on sale at Best Buy. Commonly the WD 4TB and now 5TB go on sale.
