Has anyone else run into this issue where the time machine icon in the menu bar is pixelated? I understand 3rd party icons not being updated yet but for a built in app this seems wrong...

I'm running Yosemite on a 15" Retina MacBook Pro

Not pixelated for me.

Is the PDF that's located in
Code:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/TimeMachine.menu/Contents/Resources/TMIdle.pdf
also pixelated when you open it?

It's saved as a PDF? That's a weird format to use.

I'm thinking because PNG is not scalable. On the other hand, you can create a PDF file with SVG.

Ah, that makes sense for why not to use a PNG. A PDF still seems like a odd choice for vector graphics.

Thanks for the input, i restarted my computer and it shows up correct now, no pixelation. I'm wondering if it has something to do with disconnecting my macbook pro from my thunderbolt display, maybe that icon is getting hung up in the transition from the external display to the laptop display.
