Hi all,

Since 2020, I no longer see notifications/reminders to backup my Mac using Time Machine. Prior to this, I would see reminders regularly after xx days of not backing up. Is this the same for everyone? If not, can someone guide me on how to activate them again, please?

Cheers!

Hiya.

I’m still getting notifications on my MacBook Air if a Time Machine backup hasn’t been completed in the last 10 days, and every week after that until I finally do one.

Do you have automatic backups switched on? If I recall correctly this needs to be on in order for the reminders to show. If you don’t have automatic backups turned on, you can still backup manually but it won’t remind you if you haven’t done so in a while.

Thanks for the reply - having checked, 'Back Up Automatically' in System Preferences > Time Machine was selected. I have undone this, and selected it again. Hoping I will begin to see the notification in the coming days.
