I have a new 13.3" MacBook Pro Intel Core i7 2.7 GHz w/ OS X Lion 10.7.3 installed. All data & applications from my old (crashed) MBP w/ Snow Leopard is in Time Machine, backed up on an external Fantom Drive. Is it OK to move ALL the backed-up files (data AND applications) to my new MBP, or should I just transfer the data and do clean installs of the applications? Thanks, Bud.

Let Time Machine import everything you want. Apps should launch fine, although some may ask for a product key.

Thanks Deck & Bear. I proceed with confidence, cautiously.
