Good day,
I think I already asked a similar question but never got done what I had to do so now, I still have the question!

What I have:
- MBP Pro with a 120GB SSD
- iMac with 3TB Fusion drive.
- 3TB LaCie - Porsche external USB drive
- Apple Time Capsule 3TB

I would like to know the best way to backup everything.

Should I backup both computers to the Time Capsule then plug the USB drive (LaCie) to the Time Capsule so it creates a second backup?

What happens if the Time Capsule gets full? (120GB SSD is full but the 3TB Fusion in the iMac is maybe at 1.5)
I know it keeps older backups, but can they be deleted easily and simply keep the last 5 backups let's say?

Thanks so much for the help

Once the drive gets full TimeMachine will start deleting the oldest backups.

If you want a second backup, plug the Lacie in to each computer and do a second Time Machine back to that disk for each machine. Time Machine can handle multiple backups like that and it will know what to backup each time you plug in the drive.

^^^ This. I have a WD 1 TB that I use for USB backups to time machine, and then I do a backup over my wifi network at home to a Thecus NAS.
