Time machine waiting to complete first back up!

I Have a MacBook Pro M1, 2020 running Big Sur. I have this issue where my time machine back up is not completing. It is around 103GB of 111 GB, but unfortunately does not complete for some reason. I have tried running first aid on my external drive (G Drive) and reformatting the drive with APFS format, however neither of these things fixed the issue. It is like it is getting stuck on a file that it can't copy and it is just stopping the full back up from being completed. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You could try Time Machine Mechanic. Might tell you what’s happening.

Once I have the text file of the results from the time machine mechanic what am I looking for that could be causing this problem?
