Hello, i have 3 client MAC computers were they are using a Qnap NAS to backup with time machine. however one of the users thinks it is a good idea to backup all 3 of their mac computers to one backup using time machine. the users want real time restore with time machine. my question is what is a good setup to use for time machine and a 8 bay Qnap NAS, we plan on adding 3 more drives to the NAS for backup support. looking for assistance with how to setup time machine on mac and use the NAS server on the LAN.

Have you looked at Qnap's own backup solution? I use a Synology and its backup solution is much better than Time Machine, so I use that instead. The issue I had with Time Machine was recovering files - never an issue with Synology.
