I recently downloaded iOS 11.0.3 on my 7 plus and sorry that I did. I'm noticing a lack of attention to detail throughout.

My latest complaint is that the call log ("All" and "Missed") within the phone app only shows the day of the call and not the time. In order to see the time, I have to go an extra step and click on the "i" information button. All prior versions would show the time of the call on the front screen. Why in the world did Apple do this? There is no logical reason. It certainly isn't an enhancement.

Is there a setting to change this or are we basically stuck with it? Thanks.

I think we’re stuck with that one. A lot of design changes have pushed these kinds of smaller but relevant details across the os to second and third screens

Thank you. The lack of attention to detail in this "update" to be disconcerting. I'm finding a laundry list of these types of modifications that make no sense and that detract from instead of enhancing the user experience.

The design of the new stock apps generally doesn’t lend itself to functionality.. they’ve gone long on the appearance. Which I don’t think is that great
examples; App Store, music, podcasts etc

Not sure if they are purposely change functionality with appearance so that they have something to change/‘upgrade’ in the future or if it’s accidental, but I don’t like it (I’m sure some do)

What did it show differently before exactly? I was looking up screenshots of the call log and it seems like it worked the same way before:

I got this screenshot off the net. It's exactly how mine displayed up until iOS 11 (Edited comment...see below):

[doublepost=1509116412][/doublepost]OK...I just checked my log again and somehow the time mysteriously appeared. I notice that the time appears only on today's calls, otherwise just the date appears.

Perhaps this is how it always worked and I just couldn't remember. If so, sorry and thanks for the responses.

Ah, yes, that's how it always worked (or at least for a long time): things from today would just appear with time, while things from earlier than that would appear with day (and sometimes date if it's from over a week ago). Applies to other things like messages and emails as well as I recall.
