Well, there’s no doubt the iPhone XS Max is the most expensive phone I’ve ever bought. I take meticulous care of my tech and am now thinking it may be time to purchase AppleCare+.
Anyone else doing the same?

Bought it for my XS Max. First time putting AppleCare+ on an iPhone. I've had it on other products though.

I was so proud because my 8+ has lived a full year without a case, and then I cracked it today :( glass on it does seem stronger than any past iPhones I’ve had and it had fallen multipile times, so hopefully the even stronger glass on the new phones will help.

I have square trade with it, but I plan on purchasing AppleCare+ for the XS Max, with all the recent articles on third party panels, especially the comparisons of the oled’s, and the eye watering price, I think it would be best if something happens to be repaired by the manufacturer. I can’t deal with a phone this size that also has a case on it, I freakin hate it. I figure the insurance cost replaces the $10 glass protectors you have to buy every month, and the endless cases you go through because they break or you get bored or don’t like it.

I am not a fan of warranties as almost every time I purchased one, I ended up not using it. I guess it just doesn't provide me enough peace of mind in the end. If I used my phone without a case or screen protector then yes, I would get AppleCare. But I have been using the Apple Leather case / cheap glass screen protector combo since the 5 and even with numerous drops I have yet to damage a phone.
