Hate to say it... but I've been using Maintain Cocktail for probably 15 years now (our corporate Mac consultant had us use it forever, and I liked it back then so much I bought my own more expensive Family License for all my home computers)... seems like they are NOT answering anybodies questions about their newish license (mine bought less than a year ago), which does NOT let you use it on Ventura and Sonoma.

I wouldn't have even posted here until I found that above Reddit post I linked to above where TONS of people have likewise said that Maintain is NOT answering any emails about this (I've personally emailed them in Oct, then Nov and NEVER heard back from them... then just now once again for a hail mary try...)

What alternatives are there to this program? Honestly I don't know what it does besides clear caches, but when I have a weird problem (which persists after a reboot) I used to run Cocktail and many times it fixed the issue... so it *was* doing some magic... would love to find a program which is similar, with an easy one-click button, then reboot.

I bought a new licence a month or so before you as my copy needed updating. No licence arrived no no reply or emails. No proper response from the place that took my money either. (Paddle)

Why do Paddle still take money for a company that appears to be non-functional?

Wow that takes me back! I remember installing on my eMac running Mac OS X Panther.

But yeah Onyx/Maintenance is pretty much the same for free. Have been using it for years.

Well, their zombie marketing department lives on:

Cocktail 17.1.1 (Sonoma Edition) has been released

Email recevied earlier this evening. No doubt Paddle will take money and no licences will be given out.

Good news. Looks like Paddle will refund me if nothing more is heard from Maintain/Cocktail.
