Hello folks,
I have iPhone 10 Max and it is updated. I am looking for an app I can use to "Turn Off" the phone at a speicfied time. That is, with music playing, have the phone either stop the app or simply put the phone to sleep (turn the display off) at a set time. I used to have an app I had used with I had iPhone 6 but don't remember which one it is. I will pay for an app if it is what I need. The sad part about iOS apps is you can't test 'good' apps before buying. My goal is to go to sleep with music playing in the background.
Thanks

Was your iPhone 6 jailbroken? I ask this because I was under the impression that iOS disallowed one app to affect the function of other apps unless the apps were specifically designed to do so.

Have you tried to create a "sleep music" playlist that contains songs that will play for only a specified time? That way, when the last song is finished the phone will go to sleep normally.

What is the source of the music? Local or streaming? If streaming, what service?

Don't know if it is jailbroken.

Local. I used PlayerXTreme (used to use VLC).

I checked App Store, it looks like "sleep music" has already program music for relaxation. I would prefer my own music selection. Also, I see lot's of In-App Purchase. I would rather have a free or paid app, and get it over with.
Thanks.

I would not mind a player I can add my own music, and set it to turn off at a set period of time. My phone's display setting goes off after one minute.

Way back when I had iPhone 6, I open the music player, set it to loop from track to track. I open the time app and set it for one hour. At the timed period, this app will stop any app that is opened, even with the screen off.
Thanks

It wasn't Dozzzer was it? (hasn't been updated in awhile so your luck may vary)

Nope, it wasn't that. The app was a very simple one. It's something that closes any app that is opened, except your set alarm, after which your phone turns off after the set display timed setting.

Just found one that seems to be almost like the one I had with iPhone 6, it's called "Music Sleep Timer". This one really turns of my music player, but after the phone's set timed display reached the set time, the music continues to play.

One I have tried and I still have on my phone is called "My Music Timer". This seem to do right, but once I used it, after the phone's display turn off time reached, the music started playing again. I may not be setting this app up well. Will play more with it cause I really like it.

I saw some other ones I would have liked to try out, but they have "In-App Purchase". What on earth does this really mean since I need to avoid subscription in the background.

Found something. The time on the phone does the trick; simple and to the point.
I changed my phone's Display And Brightness to 30sec, open the player and had a long 1hr plus track playing, I set the iPhone time to 30sec. At the end, the music stopped playing and I waited to make sure the music will not come back playing after the timed display setting has reached. Voila, it worked. I'll delete the apps I have already downloaded and use this built-in timer.

Thanks all for all your help for me. Well appreciated!
Hope you all are keeping safe enough with the VOVID-19.
