I have a 2018 MacBook Pro, the HD had to be changed 1 month after Apple care ended. I use aperture for photo editing to I use Mohave 10.14.6. My Seagate HDD is only 1TB so tI’ve to upgrade as I had a disaster when an Apple advisor gave me poor info. Working with a good one now. I want to know if anyone has experience with the Samsung T7 Shield with my operating system. I know I will have to format it, other than that reading user reviews can make one nuts.

I use a regular T7 as my new TM for my Studio. I have it set for manual backups only.
I also have a SD clone to a T7.

My Mac usage has dropped considerably recently (not much spare time these days), so don't need hourly backups.
