Am I alone in thinking what Apple has done to the timer app is atrocious? I mean it's simple, you set a time to count down and press the start button, easy!
But since iOS 17 oohh nooo, we now have a timer app that 'remembers' every single different time you set in the timer, they just build up and up, and then if you delete the timer list it will STILL be default have ready to go the last time you used regardless if you deleted it, you have to delete it 3 times it seems.

It's a giant mess, I never knew anyone could be so utterly inept to ruin such a simple feature. They REALLY need to fix it, set a limit of 7 timers or let you set a limit, I was excited to have multiple timers but the way they've implemented it is infuriatingly frustrating.

Sorry venting on this one.

If anyone knows a fix or a way to make it better please let me know.

I 100% agree. This is a solution to something that wasn't a problem, and they created a problem in doing so. If you set the timer ahead of time and then flip to another app or screen, it goes back to the previous time set. Even after deleting that timer setting, it still returns to it. Hey Apple, if you're going to do this add a button that says "reset timer" or better yet, go back to the way it was.

Yeap, has this happen so many times now. Very annoying.

Thanks for solving my puzzle. I set a couple "standard" timer times and named them ("Cooking Oatmeal", etc) but other "set" timers kept appearing, and I'd tried deleting them.
Will wait until The Ivory Tower fixes it in a future update.

You're not alone. In fact, it's so ludicrous and annoying that I logged back in here after a nearly 10 year hiatus just to see if it boggled anyone else's mind.
