Steve Jobs said that the iPhone would be on sale today at 6:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME, which means PDT, correct? Then does that mean it will be on sale in New York at 9:00 P.M. EDT??? That doesn't sound right... Oh, please, someone help! I feel like an idiot...

Local time means local time.

It means where you are.

It means 6:00pm on the East Coast, 6:00pm in the Midwest, 6:00pm on the west coast.
