Timing for AirPods Pro 2 pre-orders?

I know that pre-orders open up on Friday (9/9/22); do we have a time of day? Midnight Pacific? Morning? I lost my previous AirPods after years of use (*sobs*) so I'm hoping to order a replacement to come in ASAP. I don't normally order stuff on launch but, hey, desperate times, desperate measures .

is there a chance that these will be at some discount in Costco after release? or that usually never happens?

I would assume the same time that iPhone preorders go live, so will AirPods. That way, people can add them to their carts at checkout as an accessory.

Do we think if I decide to engrave the case it would be a longer wait than the 24th release day? I’m thinking yes but may roll the dice.
