Don't know if it has been mentioned but if you are in Canada and want to buy the top of the line, get the 2.93 GHz and upgrade the Processor to 3.06, the hard drive to 1TB and the Graphics to GT130 and save $20 in the regular store or $44 in the Edu one. Not a huge deal but it can make for a wireless mouse or something else.

I noticed the exact same thing yesterday while "window shopping" in the apple store website. I really don't get what could possibly explain this price difference.

Apple doesn't do a straight up conversion of prices (the computers are actually cheaper here in USD than in the US). Someone just goofed on the price point of the high end model.
