Anyone using iphonemodem to tether MBA to iPhone? It may also use less battery since USB port uses more than wifi.
Here's my speed, is this comparable to your USB cell modems?

thanks trying that now as it seems more stable on connect/disconnect. u think the $30 is worth it for reliable use?

I wouldn't count on reliable use from PDAnet. I use it, and its anything but reliable. It is cheap though, thats why I use it.

So what's the best out there? Does it become unreliable because 3G drops out?

It's extremely reliable for me - the only issue I get sometimes is that my computer will decide to disconnect from the wifi network. Reconnecting it brings back the internet. I can use all the ports, do all of my work remotely, etc. It's a great app and worth the $30. I've had it for a few months and it seems to get updated a couple times per month - so it's only getting better, which is nice.

To be honest I had a EVDO Rev A. USB modem from sprint, and it was awesome. Fast and reliable, and I used it with my MBA. I got an iPhone and decided to drop the Sprint modem, and download PDAnet. It does work, but is is not near as reliable as the Sprint modem. That is what I mean about cheap. THe Sprint modem was $60.00 a month, wheras PDAnet is $30.00 total.

I have a Sprint seirra wireless 595U and it's $90/mo. and was thinking of just dropping it for PDAnet. Do you find the Sprint speed to be the same? better?
If its considerably better, I'll install it on the MBA.
