While I enjoy the immense control it provides me, my knowledge of Final Cut Express is rather limited; I would like to see some ideas and gleen some extra knowledge with regard to "getting creative" with such things as titling, special effects, and customized transitions.

I have a wedding coming up and would like to provide the couple with a good looking DVD.

Are there any web sites where one can gather such information and experience? (With or without charge, I don't expect the really good stuff to be for free...)

Thanks!

p.s.: These Google ads just below the thread are real spooky - they seem to know everything...!

I might be jumping the gun here but hearing '"...getting creative" with such things as titling, special effects, and customized transitions." strikes fear into the heart of editors everywhere. It strikes even more fear when "wedding" comes up as well. Please, for the love of god, don't be that guy that has cheesy @ss 3D-wipe-spin-fade-fly-tile-page peel transitions. I cut weddings for a while and the guy I worked for had these super-cheesy graphics and animations that I had to use and, oh lord, it just hurt. If anyone tried to put something even remotely similar to that in my wedding video I'd flip out.

Yes there is a time and place for everything but 90% of the time and 90% of the places a cut or dissolve is all you need.
