I was wondering why my "slide to unlock" was being extremely laggy today. Sometimes it had a lag of over two seconds, four at most. All the "slide to ___" were being laggy, and I was getting worried since I know it isn't normal. Turns out that all you have to do is power off your iPhone and turn it back on again. It was probably because I haven't shut my iPhone off in days :D So if your slide is being laggy, shut it off :)

I had that same problem, and that was my solution too. I assume that that just does a ram clear. With no way to actually close down programs like safari and maps, and the ipod only having a pause button, it's bound to get bogged down after a few days. :(

I had the exact same problem yesterday and as well, a soft reset/restart cleared all my troubles. It was probably because all my friends were playing around with every conceivable function on the thing.
