I'm starting to plan a trip of 1-2 months from the US to Europe for next year, camping and staying in hostels.Anyone have advice as to my iPhone?
I already know to turn international data roaming OFF.Is it possible to buy a SIM card over there to just use for the trip?If so would that be a good idea?
I'm thinking I'll visit the UK,Germany,Czech Republic,Austria,Switzerland,Ireland,maybe Poland.

Thanks!!

Is it the iPhone 3G? Then no you can't pop in a non AT&T sim, unless you unlock it first and that isn't out yet. If it's the old iPhone and it's unlocked you're in good shape, you can buy prepaid SIM's and pop it in and make it work.

Make sure to bring an international charger, or if you have a laptop you can just use it's charger (international adapter) and charge via USB.

It's 3G,but I still have my original iPhone,so I may hold on to it until then just for the trip.I plan to bring my macbook too,as muck to dump memory cards as anything.
