So I've been applying at Apple for years and I just got hired at amazon and as soon as I got that offer letter in my inbox there was an invite for an Apple Recruitment event.

I'm wondering if some folks can provide some tips and insight on how it works and what NOT to do.

I checked out Glassdoor but you can never be too sure about some stuff on there.

Don't focus on knowing lots and lots of tech facts. They are 100% there to get a sense of your personality and customer focus. I worked there for years and got to attend a few of these events to help hire new candidates. Feel free to ask anything specific. You can PM too if you want.

Congrats on the Amazon and good luck for the Apple event, can't go wrong with either of those companies. It would help to know what you are applying for.

Retail or corporate?

It was Apple retail.
[doublepost=1501379268][/doublepost]So I think it went really well there were 5 of us and we did the group interview in the corner of the store.

I made sure that I was first to shake the store leaders hand and made sure he remembered my name.

The other 4 folks were great competitors also and I shared a story about my 3GS being my favorite Apple device because it was my first adult purchase back in '08.

I still have it.
