I'm looking for a form-fitting case for an 11" MBA *WITH A SMALL POCKET* for the charger, a mouse, etc, AND a shoulder strap or handle or some sort. However, I don't want it to be large enough to fit a 13" notebook in it. I want it specifically made for the 11" Air, and a relatively small size. I'd prefer the pocket to be just large enough to where carrying a charger doesn't stretch out the material. Don't care what it's made of. Just something nice.

Any owners care to chime in?

I've found plenty of nice sleeves using MRoogle, but that's not exactly what I want.

Thanks in advance for your time! :)

P.S. Remember the Targus iPad case that looked like a Bible case? That would work if they made one for the Air, but they don't.

I'm in the same category as you ... searching often still can't find a good bag for the 11" with just a little extra room for accessories.

The Timbuk2 Eula is supposed to fit, but that bag doesn't appeal to me. The Timbuk2 Xtra Small Messenger is a good looking bag, but won't quite fit the 11" Air and the Small size is too big ...

The Muzetto style bags too man bag'ish for my liking...

I'll watch this thread hoping for fresh idea's :)

Hmm; I'd actually like to see one for the 13". I have a fairly minimalist canvas messenger bag that would fit a 11" perfectly, but I don't own one. I'd like just the same; form-fitting, and small pocket for charger/wallet/keys. That one linked to seems almost OK, but a top zipper would be great, and a strap is necessary. I'll post a picture of my current one for ideas later.

STM Jacket XS is perfect, $25.

Not sure why it hardly comes up here as it is very well regarded in the iPad forum.

EDIT: I saw some comments on this not fitting properly or not being made for the 11". From this press release, it appears they did make this specifically for the 11". Apparently the original case was too form fitting for most people's tastes and they increased the dimensions slightly afterward. http://www.macnn.com/articles/10/10/26/variety.of.styles.colors.for.11.and.13.models/

If you want a tight fitting very protective MBA 13 case:

BE.EZ LARobe 13" MacBook Air Sleeve Black/Pumpkin

Not sure if they have the same for 11.

The material of this case is a tough memory type foam. Snug fit, cushioned zipper...inexpensive.
Found on amazon.

looking for the same thing

Also want, as the OP mentioned, a small pocket for storing the charger, etc., please (BE.EZ, for example, does not have any pockets).

The "wallet" one seems very loose and baggy.
The STM SX jacket is rumored (on this site) to be too snug.

Any others?

You're right. I use this as a quick carry case. When I want to take all the rest I put the BE.EZ into a larger case.

Marware makes a small sportcase made for the Air that has pockets for the accessories...It is not form fitting but there is no wiggle room but the zipper in my opinion comes in contact with the Air.

thanks everyone. Just ordered the stm jacket extra small. I think it's exactly what I'm looking for. I have the jolie leather sleeve, which is fine around the house or a short trip in hand, but I wanted something that would take the charger and a few other goodies, and completely close up.

You select "horizontal or vertical" bag, and then separately select the kind of strap you want. :)

dude there's no option for horizontal or vertical and forgive my ignorance but what's the difference between simple strap and suspension strap?

The only issue I have with the wallet is it's fairly heavy and thick - 2 inches, and no weight listed for the 11" but the 13" is almost the same size and 1.4 lbs - so at least 1.1 or 1.2 pounds, about 50% of the weight of the machine itself. Without a doubt the construction and materials are luxe, superb protection, etc but it would be hard to call this a minimalist case. I went back and forth thinking about buying this, the STM Jacket, and instead went with a Pack & Smooch sleeve - prefer to just tuck under my arm by itself or carry in another bag.
