Hey gang,

My old TiBook all of the sudden will not boot up or anything. No startup noise or anything like that. Anybody have any sugestions on what might be wrong? (already changed out power adaptors still nothing)

Is it a 400/500/550/667 or newer?

Remove all power, battery, accessories.
Press the reset button for 5 seconds
(on 400/500/550/667 it is next to the modem on the back. On the newer ones, it is under the Eject key on the logic board.)

Reattach battery and power. Power On, let sit for several minutes. If it doesn't work then, try removing ram and using only one stick at a time.

Bad RAm "usually" dosent cause the entire system not to boot.
BUT if you only have one stick that goes bad, then it wont turn on at all. If you have a RAM failure, the computer usually will Bong 3 times and the sleep light will flash.

Last resort, you can take the HD out and put it in an Enclosure to retrieve you DATA. Theres a good chance that the Hard drive will be ok.
