I have downloaded a HD movie recorded off Tivo and converted it using VH "Go Nuts" for Apple TV and the quality is great. Better than DVD as expected. File size is a little less than 4 GB as compared to about 13 GB when its is first downloaded from Tivo.

How did you get the movie off your TIVO and onto your computer??

Question... I tried to convert a show I recorded via the TiVo HD (Pushing Daisies) using Popcorn and TiVo Desktop. But for some reason it won't keep the aspect ratio or resolution. I'll play the TiVo file in Popcorn and it's beautiful. I convert it and it either added black bars on top and bottom or it's in a smaller resolution and stretched. No 720p, no awesome quality.

Is it impossible to get good picture quality with Popcorn--should I just go through Visual Hub or some other program instead?
