I use both of these applications and like them a lot. I have also read on other forums that these apps force the native Mail app to run in the background. People are saying this would cause unnecessary battery drain as well as use up precious processor resources. Is this true? I thought the Mail and Phone apps always run in the background. To me this makes sense otherwise the phone would not be able to receive emails (push or fetched) or phone calls. Any way, just curious.
