Hi,

I'm using a 2017 Touch Bar Macbook Pro since a couple of days and I've noticed that it's louder than its predecessor. Fans when idling at around ~2000 rpm are clearly audible in a quiet room.

Can someone confirm if there is a problem with my computer or this is a generic thing with these new touch bar models?

Thanks,
Robert

When your Mac is idle, the fans should not be spinning at all.

However, at specific RPMs, fan noise should be identical to the 2016 models, at least to a human ear.
