So Calif
I have an unlocked T Mobile iPhone 12 Pro that is perfectly functional but would like to transfer a SIM from a Verizon iPhone that died.

Will moving the VZW SIM over to the TMO work with same number, etc?

Will the TMO phone hardware work with VZW's network ?

Do I need to do anything from VZW ?

It absolutely should work. The 12 Pro has a ton of bands. Just make sure that you have the correct (5G) plan.

I've moved around SIM cards - that is, until AT&T and Apple kill it this year - and never had a problem. Kind of the inverse of your situation:
iPhone 12 mini [AT&T carrier locked] > iPhone XS [Verizon unlocked]
(I know this seems like a downgrade, but we needed a beater phone with bigger screen for a trip to Central America and didn't want to destroy the 12 mini)

Thank you!

The VZW had 4G LTE when it died.
I would be happy if it works on the T Mobile phone as a 4G phone since those bands work so much better than 5G on VZW.

They may - and I could be wrong here - prevent the phone from even operating well on 4G/LTE. My wife's 13 Pro failed until we updated the plan. Which is funny since AT&T is now restricting mid-band/C-band to 14-gen devices and newer.. stupid.

(again my example - Central America was fine on 4G - or 3G - because that's all they had... yet here... notsomuch)
