Did it happen gradually or was it just turned on and worked from there on? I live in an edge area and last night i picked up my phone and noticed i had 3g, it was like that all night, sometimes slipping back to edge but 3g the majority of the night. This morning I woke up and its just edge and has been all morning. So I guess what I'm asking is does this seem normal to someone who was switched over to 3g? Thank you for your input.

When AT&T launched 3G in the Southern Denver area a few years back, it was turned on overnight and I noticed it first thing in the morning when I picked up my Blackjack.

With it being "spotty" it could be due to interference or that you are just barely on the edge of the 3G antenna's signal and will pick it up in ideal/normal conditions.

Here in Middle GA, we are in the process of getting a full release with 3g it appears. My signal fades in and out with 3g. It sounds like thats the same thing that is happening all over the mid state. I keep hearing that the full release will be by the end of the month.

well i drove into town today and got 3g there, i never bothered to check frequently to see if it was solid but after a year n a half of no 3g in my town ill take spotty 3g at my house, i got wifi so as long as my calls are clear ill be happy.

Here in Broomfield Colorado, I could never get 3G in my house and in certain areas around here, the 3G signal barely worked. One day last week it just started working in my house and in all areas around here. It might have been improved a few weeks before but I was so used to not having 3G at home that I would only see if it had improved every couple of weeks..

it's gotten so good at home that I leave it on 3G instead of wireless just because it works so good now.

Ours just came on and has worked pretty steady. I haven't seen edge since. Of course the only at&t phone i use is my sisters. But she said she doesn't see edge anymore.

The 3g is even faster than the crappy router we have for wifi even though we have broadband internet.
