I am almost tempted to buy this laptop. How great is the deal.

Here are the specs:
2Ghz MacBook Core Duo installed with 1.25 gig of RAM
2MB L2 Cache
60GB 5400-rpm Serial ATA
Slot-loading SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
Intel GMA 950 graphics processor with 64MB of DDR2 SDRAM shared with main memory

Also comes with Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2004 (all discs included)
It was also bought refurbished in nov. 2006 and is covered until Nov. 2007

Its $900. I was thinking then I would get a new hd for it.
Also, How much money would I lose on something like this if I sold it in 3-5 months or so?

Well, that machine (except for the extra RAM and software) is $899 on the Apple refurb store with a fresh 1 year warranty, so I guess what you've got there is a decent deal but nothing spectacular. If you're looking for a MacBook I'd say it's a reasonable buy. Just consider buying AppleCare for it before the warranty is up.

Yeah, I was looking at them on the apple store also. The thing is on ebay they almost always go for more than that. With the xp etc, its nice, but not a necessity for me. The thing I am worried about is getting a laptop or any computer and then having leopard and ilife 07 come out. I know it's hurting the apple store because so many people are just waiting.

Also, I have heard people talk about heat issues with the older macbooks. Would this one have that problem if it was bought refurbished in Nov? Would apple fix something like that while it was there?
