To-Do Lists

Hey everyone!

I haven't searched for this, so if it has been asked before, I'm sorry!

But those of you who have a 'to do list', which one do you have? I'm considering getting the 10 dollar one, as I need one badly!

If you can give impressions on them, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!

I now use Toodledo along with online sync. It also meshes with my Google Calender and ties everything together. Everything syncs with everything else and gives you a badge to tell you you have tasks do.

I used to use ToDo which works perfectly as well and does a super job, but it syncs with Toodledo so I just switched to have everything with Toodledo.

I also use Toodledo with my college homework.

I've been using things & zenbe lists... lists.zenbe.com
and you can create lists online zenbe lists and sync to and from your iphone- it comes in handy and i've noticed it being a little faster in creating lists and adding new items vs. things which is good but slow to load and create items sometimes

I'm using Saisuke for a calendar and Todo (by Appigo) for lists and Todos. Saisuke is great for it's calendar views, copy&paste, and sync to Google Calendar (I dislike it's cluttered look though).

Todo is great for it's lists, ease of use, and list filters.

I've tried RTM (love the clean easy to read and uncluttered interface), but some of the buttons were so close together that it was too easy to push the wrong button. There was also no list filter.

SmartTime has a good start in putting events and tasks in the same view, but it lacks a monthview calendar (necessary for deciding my event times and navigating to days quickly). SmartTime has monthview calendar coming in an update.

I'm also waiting to see what Pocket Informer and Daylite Touch are like when they come out. Both look to have great interfaces and to tie in events and tasks very well. Pocket Informer syncs to Google Calendar and Toodledo, so both would be free syncs, but Daylite Touch looks the to have a much nicer interface.

Toodledo seems to lack the ability to create lists and a list filter.

At the moment, my vote as just a to-do app goes to Todo by Appigo.

I used to use iProcrastinate, but recently switched to ToDo, and so far it's been pretty good. There were a few key issues I had with iProcrastinate, though it has a great interface. ToDo has the ability to sync with a few different web apps as well as a basic sync with iCal. As a college student involved with multiple extracurricular activities, I needed to stop forgetting stuff, or at least worrying that I was, and ToDo has a nice way of making adding things to the list either through a fast write in, or a more involved, but complete process. It's designed for use with the Getting Things Done method, but if you're just looking for a to-do list then it's also useful for that, but there are others that are free, and you can give a try ahead of time, rather than dishing out $10.

.... which reminds me that you could try the ToDo Lite which is the same as ToDo but free with some limitations.

I tried an early version of that one, and hated it, but they might have updated it since then. I think I remember it being too simple, with very limited ability to do more than write down a task and check it off. If that's what you are looking for then that might be ok.

ToDo. Tried several of the others but this one has the better blend of features and ease of use. In the most recent upgrade they added syncing capabilities to sync your to do list with iCal's to do list. But you can still use free syncing services such as Toodledo and RTM. I prefer the Toodledo method because you can have it email you your to do list daily. It's nice having it in front of you on the computer. Also, you can set times when projects are due and Toodledo will send you a text message to remind you. This is a way for now to get around the iPhone's failure to allow apps to run in the background. And you can also sync ToDo with Google Calendar and then back through Toodledo to the iPhone. That will put your to do's on Google's calendar and so when they are synced back to the iPhone they appear on the calendar and alarms will work. There is just so much you can do through Toodledo with ToDo. Things and OmniFocus require you to buy an expensive desktop package to get syncing.

X2 And it you really want to get into it you can sync(share) this this with another user also - I sync some of mine with my wife!

I also just created a list for work but it became a pain to always open the web page or take out the iPhone to add or check my todos! -So I added it to my iGoogle page, then I had too much other crap on the lame igoogle page that I could not get rid of (ie. tool bar google search and other crap) So I used Remove it Permanently add-on in firefox and tried to get rid of everything – almost worked then I noticed I could just click show only! So I click show only on my igoogle zenbe list and now I have a web page that is only my zenbe (full screen) list that I bookmarked and can sync with my phone and see on my desktop!!

I really like Things simple fact that I dont have to input all my data on my phone. I input it with the desktop app and then I sync to my phone. By far most valuable I think. The desktop client really makes it.

Another vote for Todo. I sync with Toodledo, but prefer the interface/functionality of ToDo to the Toodledo app.
