I thought it would be interesting to do a quick straw poll to see what the overall experience of iOS 12 beta is, helping people decide if they wish to take the plunge on beta software.

Had that issue with GPS not functioning in the prior beta, though it took me some time to realise because I only ever used it for real or tested either in the car, where the Car’s GPS instead, or at home or the office where Apple already have a very accurate picture of where the WiFi is.

Only other issue I’ve had is the one where some got a weird haptic on unlock. I hated it at first and slightly missed it when it was gone (though forgot about within days). I am fairly elastic and not that fickle.

Other than that, it’s been the best feeling version of iOS for a good number of years.

My X is running fabulously on iOS 12. FaceID is more reliable and battery life seems to have shown a increase as well but that’s to be expected as iOS 12 is supposed to fix iOS 11.

But yesterday I upgraded my 7 Plus to iOS 12 and am using it today to see the effect it’s had on older devices and I am noticing a huge increase in battery life. It’s almost back to pre iOS 11 levels. With my current usage on iOS 11 the 7 Plus would be down to 70% by now but iOS 11 is on 88%. I don’t want to jinx it but I think iOS 12 has finally fixed the nightmare known as iOS 11.

GPS was really my only issue, but that was enough for me to go back to iOS 11. The recent beta fixed GPS, but broke car play in my car =|

Lovely on my 7 Plus. Only minor graphical glitches from time to time, which includes home screen flickering upon unlocking the device. Otherwise, calls, maps, messages (iMessage and WhatsApp), Instagram and my favourite game Hill Climb Racing 2 run with zero problems. It is unbelievable how such an early build is behaving so well.

Stuck it on my daily driver and I'm impressed with it for an early stage beta of a major software. Beta 4 is great, can you imagine how it'll be in September???

On both my iPhone X and iPad Air 2. Impressed with ios 12. A few minor glitches. Nothing that will have me revert back to 11:cool:

Pretty solid on X but couple annoyances lately are with the messages app & random resprings. It’ll look like I have new messages but once opened doesn’t show anything new waiting, I only see new messages once the conversation thread is opened.
