I have an i-book G4 with 512 MB, wifi, combo optical drive, 30 GB hard drive. I feel it's slow and I am wondering if I should sell it or just simply buy a RAM for it.

What do you guys think? and by the way, what's the maximum RAM I can buy for this laptop?

thanks.

I think its 1.5GB.

Well, before going out and spending money.. what are your needs? Maybe RAM will be the answer.

If not, I'm selling a G5 iMac, lol.. :)

I saw an improvement going from 512Mb > 1Gb on my iBook. It was a fairly cheap/easy upgrade. If you can spare the money, then max the RAM out.

what i need is web-browsing, play music, video, run x-code.

Do you mean i can buy another 1.5 G RAM ? or the total RAM on it is 1.5G ?

thanks.
