Do you find in your experience windows in general to be more complicated to understand and use compared to OSX or just different?

I was having a debate with someone as I use both OS's but use Windows more...but I felt that Windows was really not any harder to understand by a new user compared to OSX and the other person felt it was more confusing.

I'd want to get the opinion of others who spend more time in OSX than I do to give their 10 cents :)

I spent more time on OSX than windows in past 19 months, (windows almost exclusively beforehand)

Simple logic, Windows isn't being popular because its complicated. It just makes no sense to argue windows is complicated.

I need to run Windows through Fusion every once in a while. But it's only for one program (SAS, statistical analysis software) that isn't developed for Mac anymore. I really wish they had a newer Mac version, so I could eradicate Windows from my hard drive...

But I don't really find Windows any more *complicated* or *harder* to use than OS X for a beginning user. It's definitely harder to keep running well. It requires much more maintenance than OS X. And after using OS X for a little while, it makes work much easier and quicker than Windows. Windows makes things hard for me to use my computer to the fullest extent, which becomes frustrating and agonizing very quickly after experiencing a Mac. OS X makes computing a complete joy.
