Hi,

Just got my refurbed C2D Macbook last week, and I want to upgrade the hard disk. My question is, for those who purchased customized C2D Macbooks (or MBPs), what are the makes/models of the 120 GB and 160 GB drives?

The 80 GB (what I have now) is from Fujitsu, and I think the 160 GB is from Hitachi, but I'm not too sure. I know any SATA hard disk should work, but I want to avoid any potential pitfalls as best as I can. Any help is greatly appreciated.

if i had to guess i'd say they are either hitatchi or toshiba, anyway there aren't that many 120 160 models out there, just go to newegg.com run a search and pick the best one. they should be about $130-150. I upgraded mine to a 100, cos i want 7200 rpm but now i'm thinking about the 160 cos it seems i can never have enough space.
