Other To those who had their batter replaced

My wifes iPhone 6 original battery is shot. She has the Xs coming Friday so it will be fine but i want to sell the phone. I replaced both of ours with iFixit batteries before the battery replacement program came and both ran well. I then got the X last year so she's been on the iFixit battery for a good while and it's starting to not hold it's charge and acting erratic.

Since it's been replaced - will apple still honor and replace the battery if i put the original back in? I know I've seen some still get their battery replaced even with an aftermarket screen but haven't seen any with a battery change.

I do have a local best buy that i'm leaning towards sending it to since my nearest apple store is over 2hrs away.

correct - just wondering if anyone has had theirs replaced even after they've done their own battery replacement.

i'm chatting with apple now and they girl confirmed they would as long as the original battery was in the phone at the time of replacement. saved the chat to make sure at the time i do this.

LOL but seriously, my good friend did and as long as you make it look pretty much like you didnt geek all over the phone when opening it you should be fine. As long as no water damage.

If your putting the original Apple battery back in the phone then yes Apple will replace it for $29...
