Well, how do you feel? Me, im a bit sore inside, but I know there isnt much difference + they are a lot more expensive than this refurb 2.66 was :)

Also, isnt the 9400m worse than the HD 2600 pro?

I would assume a discrete card would always have the edge over an integrated so I would assume so. I decided to purchase the 1500 2.66 one from newegg with the 2600. I would have gone with the new iMacs... but they really skimped on graphics this go around.

I read that the nVidia GeForce 120 is really just the 9600 renamed, and the 130 is the 9400 renamed? It does not make much sense why the high end model would have a less high end of a graphics card... the person who stated that must have got it backward.

You cannot replace the graphics cards in iMacs?

I dont understand why you purchased a graphics card?

130 is not the 9400. This is how the 130 compares to the 120. (directly from Apple's website)

He's saying he purchased the previous gen iMac that already has the 2600 inside.

Starting To Think I'll Stay Put

I bought the 3.06 GHz 24" 500 GB HDD with the Nvidia 8800 GS just last week. To be honest the more I read reviews and bench's, the more content I become with my "11th hour iMac" purchase of 9 days ago.

If the HD4850 units were ready and in house then I'd most likely be eating the 10% RSF and swapping for one of those. But since they are at best a month away I'm sticking with my new baby and going to ride it like I stole it. I even spoke to my local Apple store where I buy all of my :apple: toys and they said if I come in with my receipt I'll get some money back now that the prices dropped on the earlier models. This really makes me think I'll stay where I am - she really still is a beastly machine!

I'm really happy that I couldn't wait, bought a CTO 2.8 with a 8800GS and a 500 GB hard drive...

I would have to pay more if I've waited, enjoying every moment with it as its really quick...

Maybe cos I've never owned a computer with a processor faster than 2.0....:D
