Does Apple ship a DVD or do you download it and burn it to a DVD so you can install yourself? I wondering what it will be like when 10.5.7 releases?

You only pay when there are 10.x updates. 10.x.x updates are always free and always downloaded through Software Update. (Well, you can download the update manually online, but most people don't).

and noticed mention of "a few new graphics system components" and wonder if this is truely the answer to the "freezes"?

I hope it does release this Monday, does contain better drivers for the 4850, and does make everyone happy.
