What do you advice me - is it time to update my 6S to 11.3?
I have throttling problems now on 10.3.3, but I am not sure if it will be better in general on 11.3.. I need your experience/advice.

If you have throttling problem, update to the latest 11.3 which will disable it and bring it back to life. It is more fluid even on my SE which has some of the same internals as 6S.

Is it going to be a better solution if I replace my battery at Apple store (which will resolve the throttling issues) and keep using my phone on 10.3.3 or to update it to 11.3 and again - buy a new battery. Hard choice for me..

I would check your battery health if you have access to a Mac with CoconutBattery. If it’s anywhere under 85%, I would recommend getting your battery replaced by Apple and updating to 11.3. Just what I would do.

You've got to check if Apple (or its so-called geniuses) will let you replace your battery without forcing you to "upgrade" iOS.

That would be really mean on their side...
How can they take my choice away from using whatever version I find best...

So, you think 10.3.3 is still faster than 11.3 with new battery in both cases?
If you are talking about purely "speed" then it would likely be at least slightly faster given that newer versions become somewhat more resource intensive for older hardware.

I am talking more about overall responsiveness and fluidness. Is it going to be a big difference in day to day tasks and usage?

It's different for everyone essentially. Some people find the latest version better, others see it about the same, and others see it as still being worse.

I’d update to 11.3. It’s been great on my 6s, it’s fast and fluid (again) and basically feels like brand new. Contrary to popular belief some iPhones with good batteries were throttled too, and 11.3 corrects that issue. At least with battery health in 11.3 you’ll be able to tell if you actually need a new battery or not.

You don't seem to have much choice, the Apple store generally requires you to update to the latest version before providing service.

Either way the throttle is probably making your device run worse than it would on 11.3 with it disabled.

Is this really so?
I won't be able to keep using my phone on 10.3.3 and requiring battery replacement at the same time??

If you feel comfortable, perhaps jailbreak your iPhone then use Cydia Eraser, this should return the iPhone to its former glory at iOS 10.3.3.

If you do intend to use the above, this will wipe the iPhone clean, make sure you backup prior to use.

How so?
Why do I need to JB it, when I could simply set it as a new device by using factory reset option.

I don't live in US, so I am unable to open this link, because it redirects me to AppStore and wants me to change my account. Could you share what it says?
It's just a link to the Apple Support app on the App Store. Sorry, I didn't realize that you don't have access to this.

Proven wrong. Apple replaced my battery and my phone is still on 10.3.3. Nobody said nothing about update to latest version.
I am still under heavy consideration to update or not my phone. I kind of like the new look and features of 11.3, but also heard terrible feedbacks about battery life...

definitely stay on 10.3.3 if you value battery life at all. My son updated his 6s to 11.3, and now has about 4.5 hours of usage. My 6s on 10.3.3 has about 6.5 hours. Both batteries have more than 92% of the original capacity.

Good that they let you get it replaced without any hassle. I don't have an iPhone 6s but iOS 11 does seem to be impacting battery for some.
