To update or not to,update

who is choosing to wait to update and why? I’ve always updated quickly but the bricking issue with Ipad 18 makes me hesitate.

I updated my iPad Air right after the public release of iOS 18. The new password app crashed 4 times in a row and I also find the photo app too confusing. I also read about notification issues, so I decided to downgrade to iOS 17 and I didn’t even update the iPhone. At the moment I will just update with the security patches of iOS 17
