I have a pair of urBeats 2nd Generation earbuds and they have broken for the fifth time. I use them perhaps once a week, and over the last 14 months, they have failed due to a variety of reasons. I have contacted Apple about this and I have told them that I expect some kind of material compensation. They told me to go through with the urBeats repair/replacement first and then "we can go from there".
I said okay and I am now in the process of getting them replaced through Apple.
I was wondering to what extent I can bargain with Apple on this one? Can I go to the extent of getting a free pair of Solo2 HD headphones? Or will the compensation be minuscule? I have used and bought Apple products since 2007, I have spent many thousands of pounds (I'm in the UK) with them, etc.
