According to the opinions, it seems this update has issues with it.

Stay Away from this Update. :)

what are you talking about? there's been 1800 downloads when i checked and 3 comments... one about the web page on versiontracker, one from someone who didn't like that they had to sign in to download the update, and one from someone who it worked for.

don't spread misinformation.

Isn't Toast 7 the only one that supports dual layer (or does 6 also support it)? I just ordered 7, so I hope it works out OK.

I updated to 7.0.2 last night and everything went very smoothly. I've had no problems with this update or with Toast 7 in general ever at all.

i tend to use toast 7 more often than toast 6...i bought 7 for the compression feature, but i find that i still like dvd2onex's multitude of options better. both 6 and 7 burn similarly, imo.

I don't understand what the problem is. Toast 6 has always worked just fine for me (I have OSX 10.3.9 by the way). I have toast 7.0 now, and I can't get a disc to burn at all. I press the record button, and the window just shakes.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

I had problems with Toast 6 when I first upgraded, lots of coasters. But it eventually worked well.
I have toasters every now and then with Toast 7, hopefully this update will improve that.
I often go back to 6 (or even 5) when I have problems with 7.

Been using Toast since v4 till v7. And I have never had more than 5 coasters. Most of them were errors with the files themselves. Once v6 hanged, oh well.

I have not had any problems with v7.0 and I see no reason to update it. :)

Toast 7.02 copies cd's and dvd's for me just fine, but when I tried to make a dvd using an mpeg-2 file from archive.org (which plays just fine in vlc) the dvd plays fine, but after it ends it starts back over somewhere after the start of the film. The .toast disk image also does this. Any ideas?

you're using a pirated or hacked copy... buy a legit version.
